My earliest memories as a child were of my parents and I living in a tiny silver Airstream trailer alongside a gorgeous river surrounded by lush forests and majestic trees. I remember hiking through these amazing forests with our dogs. My father used to take me fishing in his raft, that he also used to whitewater raft down the river in. I was probably four years going on five when we lived alongside the Mckenzie River in the Willamette National Forest. After we moved after a few years of living there, I often thought back on how special it was there. Going back and visiting this pristine place often crossed my mind, especially later in my life after both my parents had passed. When my wife and I planned our trip to Oregon in 2012, I made it a point to see and photograph where I once lived. It still after 30 plus years is one of the most gorgeous places I’ve ever seen and I’m counting the days till I can go back and visit again.
